About Our Banners
We have had several client requests to create banners for blogs or website headers inspired by our Shabby Shop Tags© and Bookmarks. We plan to add more to this collection on a regular basis. Please read carefully before you purchase. You will be required to indicate you have read our terms when you check out.
Our Terms Of Use
All banners are the original intellectual copyright protected property of Victoria Rose Graphics, a Victoria Rose Cottage, Inc. company. Each banner sold is an original, one of a kind exclusive banner and may be used for websites and blogs in public domain as long as our Terms Of Use are met. Those terms include a credit link to Victoria Rose Graphics at www.victoriarosegraphics.com on every page where the banner is displayed. This credit link must be placed in a visible location at the bottom of the page where any design credits are given and not "hidden" with text or displayed in a manner that those viewing the page will assume the graphics used are claimed as your own creation. Limited graphic use will transfer to you according to the terms of use outlined. However full graphic use does not transfer with sale. We retain the right to how you use them as outlined in our terms. Failure to do so will revoke that privilege.
Failure to place a credit link on the page where the banner is displayed will result in us rescinding your limited graphic rights and our asking you to remove the banner immediately. If not done so in a respectful and timely manner, our company will instruct our copyright attorney to file an infringement suit against you. These banners take many hours of time and investment in graphics and cannot be claimed as your own. Others viewing them must also know that they are copyright protected.
Why Give Us Credit?
Many clients ask us why our link has to be placed on "their" page. It is simple and protects you as well as us. A lot of time, talent and investment {some of our graphics cost upward of $100.00 each} goes into these exclusive and original designs. If there is no graphic credit given, many others who view your site will assume that because the banner is in public domain without any copyright stated, it is "theirs" to take or "borrow". We do not ask for our name to be displayed for advertising purposes. It is to protect the intellectual property rights and integrity of our designs. Will you smile when you see the banner you chose on another person's page? It happens so often in this industry. Fortunately there are digital marking softare programs that will alert us if our graphics are in public domain and being used by any other person other than the one who has the limited rights to it. However, this legal process is expensive for both of us.
More Terms & Responsibility
All banners will be sent via E-Mail electronically and may be sent worldwide. The price does not include any html coding or instructions for installing the banner to your blog or website. There will be no instructions given or included. You are buying the banner only for this price.
It is the your {the client or buyer} responsibility to determine if this banner is proportioned to fit your blog or website space. All banners are sized to be placed in most blogs or websites and pixel dimensions will be given on each banner.
You are not permitted to resize these banners or use them for other use without our express written permission. With our name on the credit link, all banners must keep their original size and display purposes. Resizing can distort or compromise the design. We will resize it for you if needed for a small fee. All banners will be formatted in 300 dpi for clarity and graphic integrity.
