About Our Memo Boards
This is our original and exclusive copyright protected idea. We were inspired to create Memo Boards or Note Boards or Beautiful Bulletins© through our own experience with our own shops. We would place text on our Home page and no matter how many times or how large the text was - for some reason - it would be ignored - not read. Being in the graphic design business for a long time, we thought that perhaps if the text was placed on a graphic - it would get more attention and people would be sure to read it.
Sure enough -Not only did they read it - many people asked how they could have one for their own website. So, an idea was born!
However - Until recently, these have been kind of "hidden" and sold when we sell a website as an add on option. This is because we did not desire to design Memo Boards and promise custom designs unless we were the ones who designed the site or one of our associates who gave permission for us to use their graphics.
About Custom Memo Boards:
Custom Memo Boards can be created for your site as long as we have permission from the original designer to use the graphics from the original design as we do not wish to become involved in copyright infringement. We are graphic designers and respect the work and talent of others and expect the same from them in return.
We do have an arrangement with Victoria's Shabby Cottage and Catherine of Shabby Lane Shops to be able to create Memo Boards using their graphics as they are team partners with us on several design projects. If your site was designed by either of these talented women, we will be able to design a Custom Memo Board for you without any copyright concerns.
If your site was designed by someone else, we would need express written permission and releases to use elements of your design as well as the individual graphics desired sent in the form they were formatted in to establish the original design.
Personalized with your text at the top or just Memo Board or whatever text you desire but limited to two lines please. This will be sent electroically via Email. Please allow 7-10 business days for Custom Memo Boards and personalization. Please provide information upon Check Out. If you would like to have any of our Pre-Made Original designs as your exclusive Memo Board or Bulletin Banner, please add the extra fee. Once received, we will zero the quantity and that design will be retired. No more will be sold. Any sold prior to your purchase are a noted exception. The size of these banners are approximately 512 x 450 pixels and are formatted in 300 DPI for clarity. Watermarks will be removed! Please Email us if you have any questions.
Directions:
These Memo Boards are designed and sent to you via Email in .jpeg form. You should be able to open them in most photo or graphic programs and add what text you would desire to them. Whether you want to announce a special sale, put your site on vacation, or other important messages - they work great because you can change them depending on your message.
We also use ours throughout our site. For example, you want to call attention to a particular sale so you just place it on the front page or Home page. Then, the particular Sale item - you may want to just place another one at the head of that category to remind clients of the sale rather than put it on every description.
A Word Of Caution:
When adding text, make sure that you use "Save As" when you try to save it. By using "Save As" you rename the file and your original Memo Board stays blank so that you can bring it up again to add different text. Always keep the original plain. If you do make a mistake, we will retain a copy of your original board for up to a year but please try to remember to use the "Save As" option instead of the "Save".
